Stormy Antarctic is an impressive winner for Ed Walker and George Baker
Stormy Antarctic ran out an impressive winner with hot favourite Foundation only second.
The runner-up was sent off the 4/6 favourite to make a winning return to action and cement his position towards the top of the ante-post betting in the season's classics but Stormy Antarctic didn't read the script.
Tony Curtis set the pace but he began to tire as the field hit the rising ground and Stormy Antarctic swept past on the outside going by far the best of any runner in the field.
He ran on well to score by three and a half lengths under George Baker while Foundation kept on well for minor honours without being given an unduly hard time once the race was lost.
SkyBet cut the winner to 14/1 from 40/1 for the Qipco 2000 Guineas and to 8/1 from 25/1 betting without Air Force Blue while Foundation is 20/1 from 14s and 10/1 from 6s in the respective markets.
