Positive Report Leads to Derby Support for Carlton House

Following this morning's Breakfast With The Stars event at Epsom, two horses have come in for notable support in Coral's Investec Derby betting. Market leader Carlton House is 11-8 (from 6-4) favourite to give Her Majesty The Queen a first victory in the colts' Classic, while the French raider, Pour Moi, is 5-1 (from 6-1) clear second favourite, after his trainer, Andre Fabre, said the Prix Greffulhe winner represented his best chance yet of Derby success.

By contrast, the Aidan O'Brien-trained duo of Recital and Seville are friendless with punters at present, and both are eased to 7-1 (from 6-1).

"Carlton House remains hot favourite to give Her Majesty a first Derby win, but Pour Moi has emerged as the clear second favourite after his master trainer, also seeking a first win in the Blue Riband, spoke confidently about his chances. We could be set for a vintage encounter between England and France on Derby Day, and at this stage punters are split between the two sides," said Coral's David Stevens.
