Knight To Behold, trained by Harry Dunlop, makes all under Richard Kingscote

Richard Kingscote took Harry Dunlop’s Knight To Behold to the front once the field had settled down and got an uncontested lead.

The colt was at least six lengths clear entering the straight and, hard as though Ryan Moore tried to close the gap on the well-backed 8-11 favourite Kew Gardens, the 7-1 shot was still three and a quarter lengths clear at the line.

Corelli was seven lengths back in third place.

Kingscote said: “He’s a proper horse. He showed a nice attitude.

“I was very pleased. I think he’ll learn plenty coming round that turn.

“It was a good learning curve for him.”

Dunlop said: "My horse has improved quite a lot and we were just thrilled with the way he had done physically.

"He looks a really exciting sort. He is bred to stay - that is the key factor. He was a horse that was always going to improve and we've loved him from day one. He is a wonderful mover.

"He was a little bit headstrong and he wanted to get on with it which Richard allowed him to do."

The Lambourn handler added: "I think, and hope, he'll go to Epsom.

"I was there when Erhaab won for Dad (John Dunlop) and I was only two when Shirley Heights won. Seeing Ed (Dunlop, brother) win the Oaks with Ouija Board it is just an incredible place. It is amazing and I've got to pinch myself.

"We could take him to Breakfast With The Stars. I will talk to owner."

Third-placed Corelli is unlikely to go to Epsom, with his trainer John Gosden looking further ahead to the St Leger.

"We will just take our time with him as I see him more as a Leger type," he said.

"He ran a nice race but is more a horse for the second half of the year. I will just wait for something like the Bahrain Trophy at the July Festival.

"Frankie (Dettori) said he still feels a little bit weak. He is a tall horse and has not yet filled out."
