Dubawi Dislikes Ground

Dubawi, the 11/8 favourite for the UltimatePoker.com 2,000 Guineas, finished fifth after hanging left and then finding no extra in the last two furlongs.

Frankie Dettori, his rider, said: “He was never comfortable on the ground when I let him down. He could not handle the fast going and kept changing his legs. He had earlier taken me into the race great.”

Simon Crisford, the Godolphin racing manager, added: “Frankie said Dubawi hated the ground. We will see how things are next week before making any decisions about his future programme.”
