Yanworth
Odds-on favourite Yanworth teed himself up for Cheltenham with victory in the Betway Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton.

It wasn't exactly pretty but the 2/5 favourite won with his ears pricked and appeared to have a fair bit in hand in the two mile contest.

Fitted with cheekpieces for his first start since the Christmas Hurdle, there were concerns that this speed-favouring track wouldn't bring the best out of this son of Norse Dancer and so it proved.

Travelling well into the straight, he had been passed by both Sceau Royal and Ch'tibello approaching the last and looked in trouble with Barry Geraghty starting to get more serious.

Yanworth, however, found plenty for pressure and ran on to score by a length from Ch'tibello to head into the Stan James Champion Hurdle on the back of a near perfect preparation.

Sky Bet left the winner unchanged at 14/1 for the Champion Hurdle.
