Royal Boy and Josses Hill gave champion trainer Nicky Henderson a one-two in the rearranged williamhill.com Levy Board Tolworth Hurdle Novices' Hurdle at Kempton as hot favourite The Liquidator was well-beaten.
Tony McCoy came out on top on the Michael Buckley-owned Royal Boy, edging out stable jockey Barry Geraghty on Josses Hill by half a length.
The 11-8 favourite The Liquidator made the running but was a spent force when headed two and finished fourth of the five runners. Willie Mullins' raider Upazo took third, but was some way behind the front two.
Henderson said: "We all thought that looked a good Tolworth and you'd have to say I was impressed with both of them when they drew clear like that.
"I thought about running Royal Boy at Warwick in the two-and-a-half (mile race), but I thought that would be an awful slog and he's not a slow horse.
"I think you'd go two-and-a-half at Cheltenham with him, whereas Josses Hill is more of a two-miler."
