Daban finished with a flourish to emerge victorious for the formidable combination of trainer John Gosden and jockey Frankie Dettori.
The Acclamation filly was a 12-1 shot having won on her only previous start at Kempton last November.
There were plenty in with chances heading inside the last of seven furlongs, with Poet's Vanity flanked by Sea Of Grace and Unforgetable Filly.
But the complexion of the race changed dramatically close home, with Daban finishing strongly against the rail and getting up to score by three-quarters of a length.
Unforgetable Filly was second ahead of Poet's Vanity in third.
Dettori said: "It is the first time I've ridden her. Her home work has been good.
"She travelled brilliantly, she showed a good turn of foot and she can only improve. It was only her second start. She showed a good attitude.
"John said she had a good turn of foot and if that if we were in reach at the dip, she'd find you another gear and she did.
"She can only improve. She has won her trial and she's entitled to give it (the 1000 Guineas) a go."
Daban was slashed from 40-1 to 12-1 for the Qipco 1000 Guineas by Paddy Power.
