Bossy Guest produced a useful turn of foot to come with a late dash from off the pace and land the spoils at Newmarket.

Although taken off his feet early on in the six-furlong affair, the 5-1 chance stayed on well to score for the first time since winning at the July Course last year.

Responding well to the urgings of Charles Bishop, the Mick Channon-trained runner gunned down Ballymore Castle late in the day to win by a length and a quarter.

Channon said: "If you have a look at the start he got a bit squeezed out. Charles (Bishop) said that they very fast from the start and were going flat out after a furlong, which suited us.

"The form was in the book for all to see, he was a good horse last year and I am pleased he has gone on.

"He is in the Guineas and I certainly wouldn't be frightened of having a go. He is so laid back you could drop him in there and he would finish well."
