Hot favourite Wissahickon runs out an easy winner

John Gosden's Cambridgeshire winner has done nothing wrong this all-weather campaign, winning at odds of 2/5 and 8/15 in the run-up to this race, both times at the expense of Big Country.

That rival was in opposition again, but he could only manage fourth this time as the winner's stablemate, Court House, chased him home.

Wissachickon set himself up for even bigger targets as he landed the odds in tremendous style.

The highly-progressive colt made a mockery of the competition as he swept to his fifth win on the bounce, a run that started at Chelmsford, took in the Cambridgeshire and now numbers three in a row at the Surrey circuit.

Knowing he was on the best horse in the race, Dettori let the John Gosden-trained four-year-old find his stride as Court House made most of the running.

Dettori asked Wissachickon for his effort turning for home and the favourite was soon in command after making his challenge on the outside. Leading over a furlong out, he pulled three and a quarter lengths clear of Court House.

Pactolus stayed on for third place, three and a half lengths away, just ahead of Big Country.
