The Paddy Power Chase is the highlight of the meeting at Leopardstown, and it's shaping up to be a fiercely competitive race.
At the head of the market are last year's one-two finishers, Meetingofthewaters and Panda Boy. Meetingofthewaters has a few potential engagements over Christmas and would be making his seasonal debut. Given this, he might be better considered as a long-term prospect for the Irish/English Grand National.

Panda Boy ran an exceptional race here last season when the rain came, and he's only running off a 3lb higher mark. He handles better ground well and still has the potential to secure a big race of this nature.
His stablemate Desertmore House is also one to watch after an eye-catching run over hurdles last time.
For each-way suggestions, Perceval Legallois is worth considering. He made a bad mistake four out in the Troytown Chase, losing momentum at a crucial point. Despite this, Gavin Cromwell's horse shaped much better than the result suggests, and he seems to be on a workable mark.
Another horse to note if sneaking in further down the weights is the Gordon Elliott-trained Will Do. He has shown quality form in NH Flat Races and has bumped into the likes of Fact To File and Tullyhill in the past.
After winning his first two hurdle starts early last season, he came up short in competitive handicaps but showed promise. With three quick runs over fences recently, he could relish stepping up in trip now and looks well-handicapped off a mark of 1261.
