Dinoblue secured a one-two-three victory for both Willie Mullins and JP McManus in a race that witnessed disappointment from the favourite, Captain Guinness, who pulled up after the fourth last fence, leaving it a showdown between the Closutton stablemates.

Gentleman De Mee, the eventual runner-up, attempted to lead from the start but was closely tracked by the winner, Dinoblue, ridden by Mark Walsh, who maintained a smooth journey throughout. Taking the lead approaching the last, Dinoblue comfortably won by seven-and-a-half lengths.

Dysart Dynamo, initially in line for third place, fell tired, allowing Saint Roi to move up and complete the clean-sweep for Martinstown.

Following the victory, Dinoblue's odds for the Mrs Paddy Power Mares’ Chase at Cheltenham were cut to 11/4 from 7/2 by the sponsors and Betfair. Sky Bet adjusted the odds to 5/2 from 7/2 and introduced Dinoblue at 12/1 for the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase.

“Gentleman De Mee set a great pace in front and jumped fantastic. I wondered at one stage would she (Dinoblue) be able to stay jumping with him but she held her jumping together,” said the winning trainer.

“When he took a blow, she kept galloping and she is improving all the time. I’m very happy with that.”
