Hurricane Fly gave the young pretenders a beating as he landed the 18th Grade One victory of his illustrious career in the Ryanair Hurdle at Leopardstown.
The veteran Captain Cee Bee led for much of the way in the two-mile contest, but when the race began in earnest as they entered the straight the big three of Our Conor, Jezki and Hurricane Fly were all on the premises and ready to attack.
Ruby Walsh unleashed 11-10 favourite Hurricane Fly down the outside to take it up at the final flight and the dual Champion Hurdle hero asserted on the run-in to beat Jezki, who was squeezed for room when trying to challenge, with Our Conor in third place.
