Trained by James Owen and owned by The Gredley Family, East India Dock has demonstrated impressive form in his juvenile hurdling career. He emulated his half-brother, Burdett Road, by winning the JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle at Cheltenham in November 2024, securing an 18-length victory under jockey Sam Twiston-Davies.
This dominant performance led to his odds for the Triumph Hurdle in March being slashed to 10/1. East India Dock's proven ability over the Cheltenham course and his strong staying power make him a formidable contender in the upcoming trial.Quantock Hills, a four-year-old gelding, has shown promise in his recent outings. He secured a victory at Fontwell over 2 miles and 2 furlongs, where he was prominent throughout, took the lead two hurdles from home, and forged ahead to win comfortably.
This performance indicates his capability over similar distances, and his current form suggests he could be competitive here.
