Gary and Jamie Moore dominated proceedings at Ascot as Larry landed a double for the father and son combination.

Glen Forsa set out to make all in the Grade Three feature, with Jamie Moore making steady progress from the rear aboard the 9-1 shot for his trainer father.

Larry then grabbed the lead with two to jump and as Glen Forsa dropped away, the Larry kept finding and had more than enough to hold off Checkitout by six and a half lengths.

The winning rider said: “He hits a few fences on the way round but the second half of the race, I thought I’d angle out and try to get a smooth run at everything and then he’s jumped OK when he’s had a bit of daylight.

“I was trying to conserve energy early on and it worked out well from two out.”
