Dean Ivory's progressive grey may well have won the Royal Hunt Cup but for being poorly drawn but made no mistake on his first run over seven furlongs having been backed into 4/1 favourite just before the off.

Robert Winston was in no hurry aboard the four-year-old, settling him nearer last than first in a group that raced down the middle of the track.

Squats was the first of those racing towards the stands' rail to commit for home and took a couple of lengths out of the field under amateur Georgia Cox, but Librisa Breeze soon arrived on the scene and galloped on to score by a length and a half.

Squats returned to form to finish second at 33/1 with Scottish Glen and Flash Fire completing the places.

Winston said: "The horse has had a lot of problems in the past but he's a very good horse. He's got speed for seven (furlongs)."

Ivory is considering a potential step up in class at Doncaster's St Leger meeting in September for Librisa Breeze.

"I was very concerned about the ground and we had to take a chance," said the trainer.

"Robert waited and waited and cruised through. He won very convincingly.

"I've got him in a Group race coming up in September (Park Stakes, Doncaster), but I'll sit tight and have a chat with his owners.

"He loves it here. He's such an honest and genuine horse."
