Kilcrea Castle Backed for Racing Post and Grand National

Coral bookmakers have today seen money for Kilcrea Castle to win the Racing Post Chase at Kempton on Saturday, and have trimmed the price to 5-1 (from 6-1), the horse has also proved popular in the Grand National betting, being cut to 33-1 (from 50-1) with the Barking firm.

The Emma Lavelle trained 8 year old, who finished third at Ascot last month, is now the second favourite behind 7-2 market leader Nacarat.

"With money for a few horses already in the race, it looks like being a very competitive renewal," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton, "and with the support for Kilcrea Castle for the Grand National too, a big run is obviously expected from the horse on Saturday."

Coral also shortened Miss Mitch to 8-1 (from 10-1) for the Kempton feature.
