Linda Eyes The Sparklers 16/05/06 AYR based racehorse trainer Linda Perratt is in sparkling form already this season having sent out a winner in Balwearie from her Cree Lodge Stables. But she was sparkling for a different reason this week as she modelled one of the top prizes in Ayr Racecourse’s Ladies Day competition which will be held on Friday September 15 at the Craigie track. Linda was only too happy to wear this stunning Marco Bicego 18ct white gold Marco Bicego necklace from Ogham Jewellery of Ayr and Edinburgh. This piece retails at £2,200 and is one of the runners up prizes in the Ladies Day Final. Marco Bicego won the designer of the year for jewellery last year in
the U.S.A. and is now ranked third in the States in prestige after Gucci
and Bulgari. “Now I’ve fallen in love with it and I’m desperate to have a few winners so I can go on a shopping spree to Oghams.” Ayr’s Ladies Day Final is entering its third year and a total of 28 ladies will contest the final. They are chosen at various ladies days throughout the season at Ayr and each receive a numbered silver coin relating to a runner in the totesport Silver Cup which is run on September 15. The winner of the opening Ladies Night at Ayr last Monday was Saltcoats woman Lirrie Craig who received £500 worth of vouchers from Eden designer outlet of Strathaven. Others to win a coin and a place in the final were Karen Alexander of Prestwick; Lorena Spittal of Mauchline and Suzie Brown of Troon. First prize in September is a Volkswagen Golf Sport 1.6 FSI three door from the Ingram Motoring Group of Ayr and there’s also a holiday for four to Orlando courtesy of Stewart Travel. |
