ayr racecourseTravel Boost for Owners and Trainers at Ayr
06/02/06

AYR Racecourse has teamed up with a leading travel company to provide owners and trainers with runners at the Ayrshire track with a unique one stop travel service.

Horseracingbreaks.com will book flights, transfers, accommodation and meals as part of the service and it is anticipated more than 1000 owners and trainers will soon be taking advantage of the new facility.

The new service is being operated by Stewart Travel which has branches throughout Ayrshire and the company has set up Horseracingbreaks.com to run the racing wing of the business.

Ayr Racecourse General Manager William Gorol said : “We believe this to be a truly unique service and one that will be greatly appreciated by owners and trainers coming to Ayr.

“We have owners and trainers attending Ayr from all over Britain and Ireland and now they will be able to make one phone call and Horseracingbreaks.com will do the rest.”

Allison Logan who will head up the new company said: “We are delighted to launch this venture aimed specifically for owners and trainers attending Ayr Racecourse. Being based in Ayrshire we know just how important Ayr Racecourse is to horse racing in the UK and also to the local economy.

“By providing this service we will be adding to the attraction of the course for the many owners and trainers who support the course.”

This is the second recent boost to owners and trainers attending Ayr Racecourse. Only last week it was announced that free lunch would be provided in the four star Western House for owners with runners at Ayr.
