royal ascot/ Train Chartering's private Trains race to York for Royal Ascot 2005
Royal Ascot is moving to York Racecourse for 2005 because Ascot Racecourse is closing down for 20 months following the September Festival in 2004 for the main phase of a £180 million redevelopment. The 2005 Royal Meeting therefore needs a temporary home. Douglas Erskine-Crum, Chief Executive at Ascot Racecourse said: "We are just delighted that York will become the temporary home for Royal Ascot because of its proven ability to stage major Flat racing festivals, the standard of track and ground, facilities for racegoers on course and the infrastructure of the surrounding area." Train Chartering can arrange for the private First or Club Class Trains to leave from anywhere in Britain, and to travel on a tailored timetable. Ground handling at busy events is a vital service - Train Chartering will provide uniformed stewards at all major departure stations. Directors of the company will manage the charters on the day. Simon Pielow from Train Chartering commented: "A private Train is the most elegant form of travel, so what could be more appropriate for Royal Ascot at York 2005?"
Train Chartering has pioneered a coordinated approach to sourcing, theming and crewing special trains for corporate & exclusive private events, exhibition travel, film locations and airport or cruise liner transfers. A Train Chartering division, Transport Charter, provides multi-modal passenger transport solutions such as coach hire and air charter. |
