Aviate Flys Into Oaks Picture

Aviate got up in the shadows of the post to take the Tattersalls Musidora Stakes at York this afternoon and has been cut to 8/1 (from 20/1) by official betting partner totesport for the Investec Oaks at Epsom.

Henry Cecil’s filly didn’t have the easiest passage throughout the race but showed a decent turn of foot when the gap appeared to score by a head from Gold Bubbles.

‘Aviate certainly showed she stayed ten furlongs when taking the Musidora but whether she’ll get another two is a moot point,’ said totesport spokesman George Primarolo. ‘Henry Cecil is still not certain whether she’ll go to Epsom but her price will surely contract if she gets the go-ahead.’

Looking ahead to the weekend, Pipedreamer has been popular for Saturday’s totesport.com Lockinge Stakes and has been cut to 10/1 (from 16/1) by the sponsors. Paco Boy remains the 4/5 favourite.
