The four-time winner at the Festival was having his first run back in over a year as an injury had ruled him out of action since December 2012.

After hitting the front following the second fence, the 10-year old found no extra and was beaten for pace up the hill by Knockara Beau, who was the surprise 66/1 winner, and At Fishers Cross.

Paul Nicholls’ runner is now likely to go straight to the Festival where he is favourite to win his fifth World Hurdle. He was denied the chance in 2013 to make it five consecutive wins in the race due to his setback.

Annie Power was successful over 2m at Doncaster at the weekend to leave fans of racing live betting no clearer about what race she will line up in at Cheltenham.

The talented mare has an entry in both the Champion Hurdle and World Hurdle for trainer, Willie Mullins.

She is currently the 3/1 second favourite with the bet365 racing betting for the 3m hurdle contest, while she is as big as 6/1 for the 2m race.

Annie Power has had three visits to the UK so far in her career in which she has won on all three occasions.

She was able to beat Zarkanadar at Ascot back in November and then, on New Year’s Day, she finished ahead of the experienced hurdler again at Cheltenham.

Following his second placed effort in the Cleeve Hurdle, At Fishers Cross is into 6/1 with bet365 for the World Hurdle. That was his best outing of the campaign so far as he disappointed in both of his earlier runs this season.
