A high-class renewal of the Group Two Duke Of Cambridge Stakes - in which the track record was broken in a time of 1min 37.09s - was won by a filly who can score at the top level.

Integral, trained by Sir Michael Stoute for her owner/breeders, David and Patricia Thompson of Newmarket's Cheveley Park Stud, won by two lengths from French raider L'Amour De Ma Vie, with Purr Along another two lengths away in third.

The winner has been placed at the top level, and when asked if she could match her dam, Echelon, and win in that company, Moore said: "She is a Group One filly."

Chris Richardson, who manages the Thompsons' stud, was able to reel off other home-bred winners that have landed today's race in recent years, namely Spacious, Nannina and Peeress. He added of today's winner: "She's a very talented filly. There's not a lot of her, but she has a huge heart and has been working very well at home. Ryan was suitably impressed.

"She's in the [QIPCO] Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket, but we'll have to see how she is before making any decisions. Echelon has other offspring by Galileo, Medicean, Shamardal and is back in foal to Dalakhani, so there is plenty to look forward to."

France-based Pia Brandt, who trains runner-up L'Amour De Ma Vie, said: "She seemed to crack and get tired near the finish because she went a little too early and the winner was very good today. She showed she can be good in Europe and not only in Dubai [she won and was second in Group Two company at Meydan earlier this year].

"We will have a look at a programme for her and may bring her back here."

Johnny Murtagh, the trainer of third-placed Purr Along, said: "I'm very happy with her. People make issues with the ground, but good horses go on any ground, and she went on this.

"Jamie rides her patiently and won on her at the Curragh, and he did the same today. He was happy with her. She's in the Falmouth Stakes, but I haven't really looked further than today."
