Race Is On as John Smith's Grand National Tickets Go On-Sale Online 12/08/10

Liverpool’s famous race festival will come under starter’s orders on Monday as tickets and grandstand badges for the 2011 John Smith’s Grand National meeting go on sale exclusively online at aintree.co.uk.

The famous race meeting, which last year saw over 150,000 racegoers attend over the three days, will return to the Liverpool course from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th April 2011, and promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

With the inception of Liverpool Day in 2010, a day celebrating Liverpool-inspired entertainment on the opening day of the race meeting (Thursday), each day of the festival has a special and unique feel. Ladies’ Day, the second day of the race festival (Friday), is Liverpool’s biggest social day out and Saturday is John Smith’s Grand National day itself, an event that brings the nation to a standstill.

Commenting on preparations for the 2011 John Smith’s Grand National, Marketing and PR Manager, Emma Owen, commented, ‘It is a very exciting time at the racecourse as we go on sale for what will be the biggest three days in the social calendar in 2011. As experienced in previous years, we expect all packages to be in great demand and therefore continue to advise customers to purchase online at www.aintree.co.uk as early as possible to avoid disappointment.’

Tickets and grandstand badges will be available to purchase over the phone from Wednesday 18th August by calling 0844 579 3001. Tickets will be available to purchase in person at Aintree Racecourse from Tuesday 31st August 2010.
